We would like to congratulate the team at portfolio company Pinkster for their latest accolade – a well-deserved gold medal at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
This is the largest spirits competition in the world, with 70 judges drawn from across the globe and entrants from over 40 countries. This year marked the largest number of entries that the competition has ever received, with the gin category seeing over a 20% increase, so it is great to see Pinkster being recognised.
G&J, one of the country’s oldest distillers, produces the core spirit with five botanicals in accordance with Pinkster’s original recipe which was developed over a number of years. This is then macerated with a further three botanicals by the Pinkster team, including fresh raspberries grown near the company’s rural base in Cambridgeshire, which produces the finished award-winning gin in all its glory. This ultra-smooth and subtly fruity spirit makes a refreshing G&T, and it works exceptionally well when paired with a sprig of fresh mint.
Since its launch in 2013, Pinkster has been at the forefront of the now-booming pink gin sector. Dubbed ‘the poster child of the pink gin movement’ by Gin Magazine and ‘one of the finest delicacies the UK has to offer’ by The Drinks Business, Pinkster is stocked by thousands of bars, hotels and restaurants, as well as farm shops and food halls.
See pinkstergin.com to find out more about the team’s signature drink (which can be purchased in 70cl and 35cl bottles, gift sets, miniatures, and even in 3-litre ‘on tap’ boxes), and be sure to take a look at Pinkster Spritz, Naked Pinkster and their other offerings as well.
