We have some big news from the team at portfolio company Intelligent Fabric Technologies Limited (“iFabrics”). They've partnered with UK retailer Marks and Spencer on a new range of products for children and babies – including bodysuits, underwear and nightwear – which is now available to buy in-store and online.
The new range incorporates the company’s revolutionary polymer technology (known as DreamSkin®) which is medically proven to soothe and protect the skin, and which helps with the management of painful skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis.
When the range for babies and children was originally announced back in June, it received high-profile publicity, from the likes of The Independent (Marks & Spencer Launches Sensitive Skin Clothing Range for Babies and Children with Eczema) and “the fashion bible” Drapers (M&S launches sensitive skin kidswear range).
Deborah Sharpe, head of kids product development technology at M&S, says: "We spent 18 months developing the 22-item product range and the feedback has proved just how successful this technology is ... The team has received incredibly positive feedback from the DreamSkin® trials along with genuine and heartfelt thanks from the wearers.”
As well as the products for children and babies, a range of DreamSkin® Anti-Allergy bedding has also been introduced, with this being covered by Ideal Home (Sleep easy with Marks & Spencer’s innovative new anti-allergy bedding) and Woman&Home magazine (M&S launch new ‘anti-allergy’ bedding range that’s perfect for sensitive skin), amongst others.
To see the full range of available products, please visit the dedicated DreamSkin® page on the Marks & Spencer website (a couple of our favourite pieces include the space-themed pyjamas and the farmyard sleepsuits).
