There are many ways to raise money via the Enterprise Investment Scheme, from equity crowdfunding to angel investors.
There are literally hundreds of firms in the UK that provide access to private investor capital, including:
- Equity crowdfunding sites
- Angel syndicates
- Family offices
- Wealth managers
- and other investor networks
In order to maximise your chances of raising capital, you will need to ensure that your business is eligible for the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) before you begin fundraising.
Some of these firms will provide a degree of assistance with ensuring that your fundraise is EIS eligible, but most would expect you to engage your own legal advice and to submit the EIS application to HMRC yourselves.
